On this interview, we look behind the walls of corectional facilities to a sector of the population that is usually forgotten and or stigmatized. Our guest, Mike Huggins, a writer and speaker talks about his work with helpping incarcerated men to live with higher consciusness and lower stress. How did he break the stigma of yoga and get a group of tough men to enjoy it? What were some of the challenges worked through by becoming more mindful?
We also talk about the subtleties of white privilege, Mike’s own journey through the justice system, and using respectful language.
