Full Moon In Taurus

Full Moon in Taurus at 2 degrees
This Full Moon in Taurus is asking us to let go of complacency. The Moon in Taurus is in its exaltation where it is being treated as an honored guest. When one is receiving five-star treatment, it is hard to give that up. At 2 degrees, the Moon has settled into its comfort zone. It has settled into the results of its hard work and has had some surface level success that it has become satisfied with. This is a recipe for stagnation and self-projected immobilization. I’ll be the first to admit that success does feel good, and when you’ve added a certain amount of the proverbial “notches” in the belt, it is tough to strive for more. This is the typical feeling of, “I’ve done enough” and I’m going to enjoy the fruits of my labor. Not that this is wrong, but when we sit in this feeling for too long, it deters the urge and the curiosity to see what’s beyond this point. We have to ask ourselves, “Do I want to permanently plateau, or is there more work to be done?” It is time to choose whether or not you want to stay in the shallow end of the pool or learn how to tread water and explore the deep end.
Sun in Scorpio at 2 degrees
Sun in Scorpio is about exploring what is unable to be seen and learning to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. Butter and cheese don’t get made without a little bit of churning. At 2 degrees, the Sun is about diligence, hard work, and exploration. The Sun in this position may explore areas of physical transformation in an attempt to understand the depth of one’s limits. This is a placement of fortification of the body as well as the mind. This is the swimming test where you go to the bottom of a twelve-foot pool and grab the ten-pound rubber brick to bring back to the surface. The Sun in Scorpio is about traveling into the depth of oneself and acknowledging the version of ourselves that makes us uncomfortable. Transformation will bring forth a version of ourselves that the world will either admire or fear. It is up to us to decide the reason for their admiration or trepidation.
Aspects to Look Out for
Retrogrades
During this Full Moon in Taurus, we are encountering 5 planets and the asteroid Chiron in retrograde. These placements are indicative of the need for internal reflections. Retrogrades signify internal work, and the need to slow down. These energies moving backwards reminds us that we need to retrace our steps. This is the time to ask ourselves, “What did I miss trying to reach those goals?”, and “Were the actions I took effective and efficient?” These energies are literally circling back to previous positions. This is the time we must take advantage of the opportunity to review what we missed and capitalize on the second chance we get when they return direct.
The 5 planets retrograde are Pluto in Aquarius, Neptune in Aries, Saturn in Aries, Venus in Libra, and Mercury in Scorpio. Neptune is currently assessing how to properly fuse value with the being of “I AM”, while Saturn is exploring the nature of caring and understanding the boundaries of self. Pluto is thinking about how to bring surface level agendas of creativity and compassion to higher levels. This Full Moon in Taurus, I want to focus on the personal planets Venus and Mercury as well as the asteroid Chiron.
Venus slides back into its domicile of Libra, but this time the focus is on internal balance. Venus is back at 29 degrees, but now it is applying this external level of mastery for dissecting situations and creating unique ways of harmony internally. The question here is, “How do I fit into these equations of balance?”, “Am I being honored in these diplomatic agreements?”, and “Is my mental and cultural significance being minimized improperly?” Venus moves through internal lessons of not just mastery, but self-care, diversity, value, personal identity, compassion, innovation & detachment, and discipline before returning direct. This provides an opportunity for Venus to provide inclusive harmony.
Mercury begins its retrograde stint in the sign of uncomfortableness and transformation. Mercury dives into the depths of Scorpio revising their thought processes, movement patterns, and decision making. Mercury will also be investigating how its desires align with others as well as which alignments are the most beneficial. This retrograde in Scorpio will also teach Mercury how to sit with its thoughts as well as its emotions. This is the time to not only learn navigation, but conveyance. Navigation teaches you how to move through the thoughts and emotions. Conveyance will aid in properly expressing how these thoughts and emotions impact you. Once Mercury completes this transit and goes back direct, it will be able to deliver messages that transforms others.
Chiron in Aries revisits that “I Am” wound. It may lead us to question who we are, our decision making in the moment, and our ability to take action. Chiron’s aspect to the South node in Leo assists us in being able to let go needing to be recognized for our every action. It helps us understand that we don’t have to be attached to being recognized for being a good steward. The aspect to the North node in Aquarius provides an opportunity to expand our thinking and integrate community into the collective.
Pluto in Aquarius at 3 degrees retrograde square Full Moon and Sun
The retrograde Pluto in Aquarius is squaring off with the Full Moon in Taurus and the Sun in Scorpio. This creates a T-square effect which is a planet squaring both planets in an opposition. Pluto here is working on an internal transformation of how it thinks, cares & loves, and the timing of implementing a new process. During this Full Moon, the Moon is very complacent, and the Sun is looking to make significant changes. The square to Pluto represents the unseen mental challenge in place of delaying the significant change. The position of Pluto to the Full Moon placements emphasizes the internal resolve required to let go of what is holding back.
Jupiter in Leo at 23 degrees square Mercury in Scorpio retrograde at 20 degrees
Jupiter in Leo is about the creative expansion, expressed leadership, and an expanded sense of presence. At 23 degrees, there is an innovative yet detached sense of how to carry out initiatives and process implementation. Here Jupiter becomes a little less concern about recognition, but more concerned about taking action. Jupiter begins moving more instinctively and audaciously while removing the thoughts regarding community approval. The conflict is Mercury is internally processing how situations work and is looking to become more efficient in speaking to how processes work to the greater collective. The key to resolution here is recognition of the situation, audience, and the process. The question to ask is, “How necessary is it to garner community support?” Once this question has been addressed, we can determine whether to instinctively move forward or sit with the community and properly explain each process while addressing their issues.
