Full Moon in Capricorn at 8 degrees
This Full Moon in Capricorn at 8 degrees is encouraging us to ease up on the reigns a tad bit. It is asking us to enjoy the ride and observe the scenery for a little bit before changing course. This energy in Capricorn at 8 degrees yearns for control, initiates action first, and then asks questions later. This is an energy that sees potential first before appreciating the current mold. This would be like going to the car lot then requesting changes before the initial test drive. This is molding resources to your envisioned needs first before acknowledging their ability to contribute in their current state. It is time to make our judgements based on merit instead of desire. I’m always reminded to taste the food first before adding extra seasoning.
Sun in Cancer at 8 degrees
Sun in Cancer at 8 degrees is inspiring a nurturing approach through collaborative efforts which promotes transformation. Here the Sun intuitively molds the situation by merging into it and then feeling into the needs of the situation to bring forth the necessary balanced required. The general energy of the Sun is guidance by encouragement. It gradually fades out to allow someone else to shine. This is the act of finding a prodigy, cultivating them, and then slowly stepping aside to let them shine.
Cancer Stellium
In addition to the Sun in Cancer, we also have Jupiter at 29 degrees and Mercury at 26 degrees. This is the energy of big picture and process working together. The landscape of which they’re working together in is that of intuition, creativity, and nurturing. In essence, it is like Mercury is working to understand the specifics of how emotions work, why they function as they do, when are they applicable or valid, and when to express them. Then Jupiter steps in and creates the philosophy of emotions to give a well-rounded picture. Mercury gathers the research and Jupiter delivers the lesson. This dynamic duo will be short lived as Jupiter prepares to enter Leo and Mercury enters into retrograde.
Mercury will be stationary during the Full Moon in Capricorn and then reverse course and enter into its retrograde phase for 3 weeks. Interestingly enough, this begins at 26 degrees Cancer. In this position, Mercury is evaluating how to recognize and convey messages regarding the importance of care, concern, and nurturing to others. Mercury is developing emotional and spiritual intelligence that will support how it delivers information in general. As it goes retrograde, it will internalize these traits and to better understand how to receive information from others.
Jupiter sits in the last moments of its exaltation. At 29 degrees, it has mastered the lessons of Cancer and has the ability to graciously apply them. Jupiter can now teach the lesson on how caring for communities can assist in healing the collective. It can also teach others how acting in good intention can spread good fortune to others. It now has the capability of developing new understandings of compassion as well as creating new methods of care for those in need.
Aspects to Look Out for
Chiron moves into Taurus at 0 degrees
The wounded healer moves into the sign of Taurus and begins its journey. With Chiron moving into Taurus, it will highlight wounds and insecurities revolving around value, beauty, comfort, finances, and loyalty. Again, Chiron is the wounded healer so the same place where we feel or have felt pain, we are able to help heal. As this is early Taurus, this issue may be directed to the physical nature of these areas. For instance, we may be insecure about how we look, where we live, how much we make, and our position in our family & friend circles. When Chiron wounds arise, it is best to practice gratitude to appreciate where we are and what we currently have. It is also best to embrace patience to endure the current journey to our next transition phase while we diligently work hard creating the path.
Mars in Gemini at 0 degrees conjunct Uranus at 3 degrees
As Mars enters Gemini, this brings drive, passion, and action to the arena. This can bring quick wit, passionate conversation, a desire to learn something new, and the urge for sudden get away trips. In the diverse air sign of Gemini, Mars can push one to take many projects on at once or switch directions at the drop of a dime. This drive in Gemini can lead to many new ideas, but it can also leave you scattered or stretched thin trying to do too many things at once. The key is to embrace the stimulation, but also be aware not to overstimulate oneself.
Uranus transits to 3 degrees which is opening to the energy of multitasking. The energy of evolution and identity is expanding its mental vantage point; learning how to manage multiple thoughts and facets of self. It is also learning how to intuitively transition to what needs the most attention. Uranus is like an electromagnet feeling the pull of energy, but allowing itself to be pulled to the strongest signal. There is also an additional level of specification at play when making changes to any situation. This is similar to writing computer code and then focusing on the line that makes the light change green instead of yellow while all other factors remain the same.
Now these two energies working together can produce the most productive or the most destructive outcomes. Mars’ drive and Uranus’ ability for quick change can produce ideas that reshape anything from community to the collective. Then on the flipside, Mars’ impulsivity and Uranus’ energy to rebel can cause actions that eliminate connections leaving no room for reconciliation later. During this Full Moon in Capricorn, allow the slightly more mature Uranus to take the lead.
Mars conjunct Uranus in Gemini square the North Node in Pisces and South Node in Virgo
The North Node in Pisces at 1 degree could be the quintessential energy push of belief in oneself. Here the exploration of how much one believes in themselves regarding their creativity, spirituality, and emotional capacity is available. This will also allow introspection to learn how your self integrates into the grand scheme of all. Exploration of this energy will open doors to where inspiration lives.
The South Node in Virgo at 1 degree is the result of a previous lifetime of constant reassurance. This is the thought that nothing ever happened by coincidence and that for every action is an equal reaction. Every movement has been accounted for and if it can’t be figured out, further analysis is required. This has built foundation, but now it is time step into new territory.
The Uranus Mars conjunction square the transiting nodes adds to the T-square which was in place during the New Moon in Gemini. Remember a T-square represents a challenge to move in either direction. Mars entering Gemini and forming a conjunction with Uranus adds complexity to what is called a “skip step” in astrology, or an energy that was avoided in a prior life and needs to be accepted or let go in this lifetime to move forward. The position of Mars and Uranus in this T-square aspect represents energy which needs to be integrated to reach this direction of faith and belief. Mars Uranus conjunction in Gemini during this Full Moon, represents the need to shift thought and take action to implement change, then we will be able to lock into this journey toward our future.
