New Moon in Cancer at 21 degrees

New Moon in Cancer at 21 degrees is prompting us to explore, recognize, and integrate new intervals of nurturing, intuiting, emoting, and protecting.  This is a period in which we should and need to explore who we are externally as well as internally.  The various layers of who we are produce a different tone or frequency.  In this understanding of self, we must learn how to protect the sacredness of self.  Each dimension of self doesn’t function the same and with this type of exploration, we learn about the type of people, venues, and circumstances where it is safe to express ourselves and reveal these layers externally.  The middle of a crowded shopping center may not be the best place to discuss underlying family issues.  Just as a PTA meeting may not be the best place to open up about your epiphany of sexual self-gratification.  All feelings, emotions, and discoveries are valid, but time and place are key in the reception of these expressions and protecting our integrity.

Mercury in Cancer retrograde at 19 degrees

Mercury in Cancer is still learning how to interpret and convey emotions.  While it is retrograde, it will focus on the feelings of self.  It will pose questions like, “How do I really feel”, “What is making me feel this way” and “Where do these feelings come from?”  At 19 degrees, it is moving through the emotional ebbs and flow.  It is seeking to level the playing field to mitigate the activation of certain trigger points.  This will aid Mercury in being able to live in the moment and begin to be proactive instead of reactive.

Aspects to Look Out For

Chiron Factor

As the wounded healer saunters through the sign of Taurus, it does so slowly and diligently.  At 0 degrees, Chiron wounds are the full embodiment of Taurean values, but so are it’s healing attributes.  While you’re experiencing wounds about finances, beauty, self-worth, value, and possessions in general, check your personal inventory to determine what you do have and whose eyes behold your beauty.

As the nodes move to 0 degrees, they too embody the complete essence of the signs they transit.  It has positive aspects to each node.  To the south node, it creates the harmonious aspect of the trine.  This creates a free flow of energy to the South Node in Virgo.  The South Node in Virgo will assist Chiron in releasing those negative attributes through analyzation, service, and a practical mindset.  If Chiron is upset about those who talk down to them, Virgo will help them see who uplifts them.  If Chiron feels its value is low, Virgo South Node can assist in implementing routines that create scenarios where their value is on display.

In a slightly different direction, Chiron creates another positive aspect to the North Node in Pisces called a sextile.  Sextiles create opportunities for us to build on.  Pisces North Node pushes Chiron forward and assists in planting seeds of faith, creativity, and unconditional love.  In an effort to heal itself, Chiron will need the element of belief in order to help it move forward.  North Node in Pisces helps dissolve personal boundaries that may be keeping Chiron in a rut.  The connection to Pisces also provides access to unconditional love that can aid Chiron in realizing their overall worth.

Jupiter Factor

During this New Moon, Jupiter is connecting with the three outer planets.  As it moves into Leo, Jupiter creates a trine with Neptune in Aries retrograde at 4 degrees, a sextile with Uranus in Gemini at 4 degrees, and an opposition with Pluto in Aquarius retrograde at 4 degrees.  Because of the slower progression of the 4 planets involved, these connections may have a generational impact during this New Moon.
The planet of expansion, wisdom, exploration, and optimism has begun its trek through the sign of will, confidence, radiance, and generosity.  Jupiter in Leo is a regal placement, second only to the Sun sitting in their own domicile.  Jupiter in Leo is an auspicious placement bringing wisdom, luck, and creativity to any arena it touches.  This is what people call “main character” energy.  At 3 degrees, there is an intellectual approach Jupiter takes on.  It becomes inquisitive about all factors and learns that it doesn’t have to stand in an individual ideology.

Neptune in Aries retrograde is turning its focus inward to create the best version of itself.  Its knowing has transitioned internally to forge who they are to become.  At 4 degrees, there is a secure diligence to implementing how one will operate.  As Jupiter continues to exude confidence in Leo, Neptune provides the energetic knowing aiding it making adjustments behind the scene to continue its external appearance.  Think of Neptune as Cyrano wooing the crowd through Jupiter.

Uranus in Gemini is continuing their mental gymnastics and shifting identities as it flows from one community to the next.  It can be eccentric one moment, rebel another, and then completely detached.  As it enjoys its multi layered self, at 4 degrees it begins learning how to implement guard rails.  It leans more into what feels right in the moment.  The sextile to Jupiter creates opening for Jupiter to think quick on their feet, adjust their demeanor based on its audience, and create a safe environment for itself as well as others.

Pluto in Aquarius is seeking to transform the collective one secret unconscious thought a time.  It has now gone retrograde shifting its consciousness towards itself.  It can now look at its role in the collective and how that impact has shaped it thus far.  Pluto also being the planet of power and control can reassess the balance of power in the role it currently plays in the collective.  This opposition to Jupiter can assist the planet in realizing if it is too attached to their position of leadership.  Jupiter in Leo will be front and center with an expanded presence.  The opposition to Pluto reminds Jupiter that sometimes the best vantage point is behind the scene.

Venus Factor

During this New Moon, the planet of beauty, harmony, and attraction is in disharmonious aspects with a few planets.  Venus in Virgo at 5 degrees squares Uranus in Gemini at 4 degrees and Mars in Gemini at 10 degrees bumping heads with the planets of rebellion and assertion.  Venus is quincunx to Neptune in Aries retrograde at 4 degrees, falling into the blind spot of a planet it looks up to.
Venus in Virgo is not in the best position.  It is what we call debilitated, meaning that it is not functioning in optimal condition.  Venus is still balancing, still being beautiful, and still loves, but it accounts for every little detail.  This makes it difficult to enjoy the bliss that comes along with these energies and situations.  Venus again balances, but in Virgo there is always a need to improve balance.  It loves, but now has to determine if the love it receives is on equal footing with the love that it gives.  At 5 degrees, it wants to be recognized for its actions and works even harder to show someone else a better version of themselves.

Uranus is a planet that gets rid of what doesn’t work and implements a process that does at the drop of a dime.  In Gemini this process can occur at the speed of thought.  The conflict is that Venus in Virgo feels each change that occurs should be analyzed to a tee and all that didn’t work should be catalogued not to repeat that mistake.  The resolution is to explore the various methods at hand and gravitate towards what feels right in the moment.

Mars in Gemini operates like an activation switch.  It boosts processing speed increasing speed of thought, travel, and communication.  At 10 degrees, it sees how it can execute and pushes to get the job done.  It becomes more about the mission and less about those involved.  Venus in Virgo at 5 degrees is displaying complete devotion and is seeking their claim to fame.  The resolution to this situation is to take a centric focus of the situation and understand how your actions contribute helping others.

Venus in Virgo and Neptune in Aries are in a quincunx aspect during the New Moon.  This aspect puts each planet in the blind spot of the other.  It’s like driving the car in one lane, but not being able to see the car in the lane next to you.  This also plays out in planetary agendas that are different from the other.  Neptune’s focus during this New Moon is internal while Venus’ focus is on external validation.  This may create a small disconnect in self.  It may be difficult to figure out why exercises in self-validations are not allowing you to be appreciated the service you provide.   The key here is to find balance by appreciating yourself for the things you accomplish.
